Features and function
Herbifit Primula syrup is dietetic product, a dietary supplement and it is intended for productive cough, catarrh of the respiratory tract and cronic bronchitis. Herbifit Primula syrup increases the secretion of bronchial mucus. This way, thick and sticky mucus that irritate mucous membranes and cause cough, breaks down and becomes more fluid which cause easier expectoration.

Primula root
Primula root consists of the dried rhizomes and roots of Primula veris (L.) (syn. Primula officinalis L.). The drug contains 5–10% triterpenoid saponins, phenolic glycosides, especially primulaverin, rare sugars, sugar alcohols and small amounts of tannin. Based on the saponin content, Primula root is used as a secretomotoric and secretolytic expectorant in bronchitis, catarrh of the respiratory tract, coughs, colds and phlegm in the broncho–pulmonary system. German Commission E has approved the Primula root for treatment of catarrh of the respiratory tract.

Composition
100 g of Primula root syrup contains:
Primula root liquid extract (Primulae extractum fluidum, Primulae radix, Primula officinalis L. Primulaceae 2 g

Other ingredients are: sucrose, Thyme tincure (Thymi tinctura 1:5), preservative (sodium benzoate), water–alcohol solution of anise essential oil and ammonium chloride (spiritus anisi aetheroleum cum ammonii chloridum) and purified water.

Dosage and administration
Adults take 15 ml three times a day. Small children take teaspoon 5 ml three times a day, and infants take 2,5 ml three times a day.

Storage
Keep at temperature of 25 ºC. Close the bottle after each use.
